ECOSYSTEM

The Ecosystem in the Taiga is based around the fact that it can be very cold, and very dynamic. During the summer it will be clear of snow and temperate or cool, while in the winter it can be completely frozen over and barren. 

The main limiting factor of the Taiga is the winters. Many of the smaller plants that the primary consumers eat freeze over and die, or is unreachable.  A lot of the animals not only starve to death, but get killed by predators that go for the hungrier and weaker meals.  After a long amount of time, the populations of the Primary Consumers might dwindle down. 





Us, Being humans, need wood. We use it to make out houses, pencils, desks, chairs, and a lot of other things.  One of the most used types of wood is pine because its easy to build with, and easy to get.  The Taiga is stuffed with Pine trees, so it seems ideal to go and cut around a bit. But, however good  it seems for us, you're destroying the place where a lot of the life is in the Taiga. Not only that, but a large portion of the oxygen on earth comes from the Taiga. Some people think that it  pushes along "Global Climatic Change" which is a fancy phrase for "Global Warming & Cooling."



Long story short, Pace yourselves when you're cutting Pines in the Taiga.
